A Fun Day of Swimming and Even More Firsts!

This past weekend we spent a fun day at the swimming pool.  Breann had a very interesting day as well, as she jumped off of the low diving board without any floats for the first time, which I also have a video of, and Troy jumped off of the diving board (including the high diving board), but he still has to have floats at this point, but he still does super, (and I also happen to have a video of that)!!

Even at 11 and 8 years old, I realize that my two kids have had many "firsts" in their lives (such as first steps, first words, etc.), and even at this age they are still growing and learning.  I am so happy to be their Mom and experiencing these firsts, seconds, thirds, and so on and so on with them!!  I am definitely blessed to be called their Mom!

Anyhow, it was a fun day at the pool this past weekend, marked with another "milestone" and even more memories.  I am so thankful for the memories that we have created, the ones that we are creating, and the ones we will create.  Have I said it already?  I am blessed!

  1. Hi Jessica, Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you come back often. Hubby and I are retired, VERY much in love, love to garden (flowers including roses), love to hike and check out waterfalls, and I love backyard birding. We are truly living the life of retirement to the max!!!!! Come back anytime.

I love your blog. I read a little more about you and the family and your love of God. That is awesome.

Enjoy your kids NOW. They will grow up and be out of the house much too soon. (Been there--done that!)

I'm sure that swimming is alot of fun during the summer... Have fun!!!
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  2. I loved this. I get so sad sometimes that my oldest isn't a "baby" anymore. Thank you for pointing out that I still have a lot of "firsts" to look forward to, no matter how old he gets.

Also thanks for the lovely comment on my blog! I can't wait to read more of yours!

  5. Sounds like you had so much fun at the pool! My little one is still pretty afraid of the water, but I'm sure that will change. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog as well! :) :)
