This frame (we are thinking it was either the frame from a chalkboard or maybe a window), came out of the old schoolhouse that was on the new property that we bought. The marble was also on the property as well, perhaps it was played with by one of the students there. This was a very old schoolhouse, that was ran even in the early 1900's.
We bought a piece of property not very long ago, with an old schoolhouse on the property. While there one day, we found a marble. This schoolhouse was ran back in the very early 1900's, so it was an old building. We're thinking that maybe this marble was a toy of one of the students there, from when the schoolhouse was open.
While Justin is working out, Bre and I are walking the track, and I'm noticing these pretty fall colors! Beauty in the mountains! ♡
Our family spent some time together (electronic free, and with no cellphones), on Sunday. It was really nice! We had a cellphone in the glove compartment, in case of an emergency, and other than that we each left our phones and electronic devices behind for the day. While we had some nice family time together during the day, we decided to make a trip up to the farm as a part of our day.
Around a few weeks or so ago, we also went to the farm to see a calf (actually, the calf in the below pictures), but the calf hid and didn't really want to be seen as it was still really young on our first time of trying to see it. I still got some neat pictures that day, but Sunday, the calf decided to come out for awhile, and I finally got to show it my camera. :)
As I looked at this light I thought it could very well be one of God's many masterpieces! I feel after all our family has been through this year that God is shining down on us. :) It has been a very,very tough year, but there's nothing God can't do. This light shining through the clouds reminds me that no matter how "cloudy" and rough of a time I'm going through, the Lord is my light in the darkness, He's my light shining through the clouds. These past few months I've been dealing with a lot of grief from my parents, and I still am. The sunlight this evening reminded me though that when times are tough for me to look to the "light," the Lord will see me through.
Anyhow, Justin and I saw this beautiful sunlight shining through the clouds outside the surgical waiting room, while waiting on my brother to get out of surgery. My brother has a long road ahead of him and is most likely going to have to have another surgery in about a month or two. Our family is looking to the Lord for healing though. We're looking to the "light."

We saw that we had a visitor, this rabbit, as we were on our way to work/school this morning. 05/21/2014.
I was getting out of the vehicle during my lunch break on a work day sometime last week. To me it was just about like any other day, but then I noticed something. Laying in the yard, on the edge of the gravel driveway where I parked my vehicle there was something that was laying upside down, a straw something. The nest was clearly in plain sight, but I could have so easily walked by it.
I'm not sure what happened to the birds or the eggs, as there was nothing in the nest (or underneath it) when I found it. I picked the nest up, placed it in the tree, and decided to take a photo of the nest that a bird (one of God's creatures) created. The photo shows the simplicity of the nest, but it also shows where a form of life was at one point or another.
It's not that I hadn't ever seen a bird's nest, I've saw plenty of them, I've even had birds come into my house (and had birds to, uh-hum, run me out of the house, as I'd been too scared to chase them out of my house...yeah, I know quite comical)! The reason I took this photo though is that sometimes I feel that God wants us to stop and remember the beauty of the life He gives us and the simple yet extraordinary things. Sometimes, a lot of times, the extraordinary things are the simple things! This nest is totally remarkable. When you consider that it's not everyday that you may see a nest like this (at least I don't see them everyday), it's something I appreciate to see...something different, simple, yet so extraordinary.
I also had a pastor to once tell me to "always look at life through a spiritual eye." I try my best to see God in everything that I do and everything that happens as much as I possibly can. This nest reminded me of a Bible verse.
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? -Matthew 6:26 (KJV)

Sometimes the simple, yet the extraordinary things can be great reminders of what God tells us. This birds nest was that thing I wouldn't typically see everyday, which was neat, but it also had an extraordinary reminder for me as well!
